OUR HISTORY
Honey Field inc., restaurant and pancake house was established on April 19, 2007 in the historic Lockport area but the idea itself began many years earlier. The founder of Honey Field first began working in the restaurant business as a busboy when he was 16 years old. He became fascinated with the business and would even miss school so he could learn how the business operated from the kitchen to the customers. He was told repeatedly by many close to him that staying in school promised better success than the restaurant business. He didn't agree and his first opportunity came when he was 19 years old to run and operate the Pelican family restaurant in Chicago. The Pelicans business was in shambles due to bad management, which was the perfect opportunity to try a new concept. This new concept touched on the idea of specializing in a particular area of food instead of all three courses. The direction of the plan was to focus on making the best kind of breakfast and lunch, which was discussed between Teddy and one of the other managers from another location. The owner liked the new breakfast and lunch concept and this was how the Continental House of Pancakes was born, which was established in 1994 as a corporation. Right from the start many considered the new idea restaurant suicide because the hours were from 6am - 4pm but in the restaurant business more isn't always better. Regardless, Continental became very popular and two years after opening it proved to be a huge success. The owner was able to sell his restaurant in Chicago many years later for a huge profit because of the established business. Through the 17 years of restaurant experience the owner of Honey Field has operated four successful pancake houses before opening his own with his wife in Lockport. With Teddy's many years of experience and success, the Honeyfield Restaurant is a combination of all the right ingredients that make it "The Best Breakfast and Lunch Restauarnt in the Lockport Area!"
